John is an Orlando attorney with a small private practice and he serves as President of the Florida Family Policy Council, one of the leading pro-life, pro-family and pro-marriage organizations in America. John is an Eagle Scout, Vigil Honor Member of the Order of the Arrow and has served as a Scoutmaster. He is the founder of the OnMyHonor.Net movement and serves as the Chairman of the Board for Trail Life USA. John has been married to his wife Olivia for 18 years and has four children under 12 years old, two sons and two daughters. Full bio
Starting in March of 2013, David directed a nationwide collaborative volunteer project to build the program elements and implementation components for this new organization under the name “Trailhead USA.” In cooperation with American Heritage Girls and OnMyHonor.net, Trailhead USA was one of the founding coalition partners. He now serves as a Board member and Director of Program for Trail Life USA. He has a long and distinguished Scouting history including as a Cubmaster, Scoutmaster, Advisor, Committee Member and Commissioner. David is extremely proud of the many volunteers that continue to spend thousands of hours to make this program a reality, and thankful for the input and feedback of countless others in this new organization. He has three grown Eagle Scout sons and a daughter starting college.
Rob serves on the national board both for the new adventure program and for American Heritage Girls. He and his wife Elizabeth have served as leaders in Christian education ministries at Live Oak Vineyard Church in Monrovia, CA throughout their 13 years of marriage. Rob graduated from Harvard University in 1999 with a PhD in Geology/Geochemistry, served for several years as a professor at the University of Southern California, and is now committed to working outside of entrenched institutions to transform education and youth development in America.
Shawn is an Eagle Scout who has been involved with Boy Scouts for 35 years as a summer camp staff member, Cubmaster, Scoutmaster, Crew Asst Advisor, Ship Committee, and Troop Committee. He also served in the Marine Corps for 10 years as a police officer and computer crime agent. He has lived in the DC area for 16 years with his wife and his two Eagle Scout sons.
At age 22, Jeff began his career as a town manager. Over the next 20 years he held increasingly responsible government positions, culminating in his current job as County Manager of one of the largest and fastest growing counties in North Carolina. He holds undergraduate and graduate degrees in public administration and has specialized in organizational development and leadership. Until recently, he served as a leader in his local Cub Scout Pack. Jeff led the initial program team that created the Woodlands Trail Unit. He has been ordained as a deacon by his local church and has been married to his wife Angela for nearly 18 years. Together they have one son (a Woodlands Trail Mountain Lion) and live in Jacksonville, North Carolina.
Pat Garibay has been engaged with Trail life since its inception at the coalition meeting. Having worked with children most of his adult life (including scouts and church children’s ministries), he looks forward to seeing TLUSA’s impact on boys as they learn to Walk Worthy and discern God’s will for their lives. Pat has been married to Patti for 35 years, has 4 children and 5 grandkids (including 4 boys!). He has an MBA from Xavier University, serves as a board member of American Heritage Girls, and owns a company that helps seniors stay in their homes as they gracefully age.
