Volunteer

One of the Core Values of Trail Life USA is "Volunteer-Driven." Are you called to impact a generation by giving your time to help boys? Join the Trail Life USA volunteer team!

Trail Life USA has two types of volunteers.

  1. Nearly 20,000 men across America volunteer in their local Troop working directly with boys, dads, and other mentors to teach skills, plan adventures, and directly grow generations of godly young men who honor God, lead with integrity, serve others and experience outdoor adventure.  To get involved in changing the lives of boys and young men through a local Troop, click here to Find a Troop and then make a note about volunteering in the comments section of your inquiry.

  1. About 800 adult volunteers work behind the scenes, expanding their impact, by taking on important Area roles that involve planning, growing, equipping, managing, and mentoring Troops and leaders.  These roles include:
    • A Point Man who builds and oversees an Area Team comprised of the following volunteers:
      •  a New Troop Organizer, who helps churches launch a Troop ministry where no Trail Life Troops yet exist,
      •  a Training Chair, whose team of trainers prepare new leaders to excel,
      •  an Advancement Chair, who helps Troop leaders navigate Trailmen ranks and achievements,
      •  a Camping Chair, who organizes multi-Troop adventures,
      •  a Community Service/Activities Chair, who provides many local opportunities for Troops to make a difference in their community,
      •  a Communications/Marketing Chair, who communicates with Troops in the Area about all of the above--and externally, to get the message out to the general public,
      •  and Direct Service Advisors, who regularly mentor and coach Troop leaders in person.
If God has gifted you for service in any of these Area roles, fill in your info below and hit Submit, and a key Area Volunteer will contact you soon. Thank you for answering the call.
