Who We Are

Trail Life USA is a Christian Outdoor Adventure, Character, and Leadership Program for boys and young men.

Operating from Troops that are chartered through churches in 48 states, the K-12 program centers on outdoor experiences that build a young man’s skills and allow him to grow on a personal level and as a role model and leader for his peers.

Living the Trail Life is a journey established on timeless values derived from the Bible.

Meet the Staff: Gayle Kelly

Gayle Kelly

Chief Operating Officer

Gayle is a fantastic addition to our executive team at Trail Life USA. The skills he brings to the table are helping us solidify our internal organizational structure and strategically plan for the future in areas related to policy, budgeting, and human resources. He has an incredible ability to analyze a situation after receiving new information about it, bringing a heightened awareness of systems dynamics to the space in which we function. Gayle’s experiences bring great insight into the unique challenges of a creative startup.

Before joining the Trail Life USA team, Gayle owned several small businesses and was an executive for a start-up movie theater chain, which grew to be one of the largest in the United States before being acquired.

Family is an incredibly important part of Gayle’s life; he and his wife, Michelle, have been married for 22 years and have three beautiful children together. As a favorite pastime, he has been restoring a 1964 ½ Mustang convertible that he’s had since high school – a continued labor of love, he calls it.

Gayle is admired around the office for his compassionate nature and the way he intentionally listens to others. He also always has a bright, fresh perspective and brings new ideas to the floor which gets us all to think a little deeper. Humility isn’t something Gayle has to try to do - it’s just a part of his nature, making it a pleasure to have him around. Trail Life USA’s mission is what brought him to us, and he is driven to keep that mission at the forefront of all he does.
