Mentoring Boys
More than ever, boys need a uniquely masculine program where their assertive, audacious, and adventurous nature is celebrated, not sequestered.

Let Boys Be Boys
Too many boys are turning to virtual worlds of television, video games, digital media, and the internet to find realms they can conquer and areas where they can excel. The result of this virtual conquest is often apathy, apparent rebellion, or outright resistance to real-world challenge.
Trail Life USA is where boys thrive! Adults are equipped to lead a program in a structured outdoor environment where boys are engaged in real-world challenge and experience camping, hiking, and fishing; they develop skills in riflery, archery, and canoeing; and learn character and leadership in a practical hands-on manner that is naturally engaging.
In the outdoors, the experience of adults is never obsolete; boys find mentors, fathers and sons connect, important relationships are fostered, and boys find opportunity to achieve significant accomplishment.

“If we fail this generation, it won’t be because we over-challenged them. It will be because we under-challenged them.”

Engaging Men to Guide and Serve
Boys and men are struggling to find their place in a culture that silences their strength. We ask them to tame their energy, tone down their passion, and temper their drive. Stripped of passion, the masculine soul does not open up, it shuts down. What remains is not a whole man, but a shell.
The masculine spirit is restless—disconnected from purpose, craving risk and adventure, longing for brotherhood, searching for space to make a difference.
In fact, 80% of men say they have no one in their life with whom they can be truly transparent or accountable. Boys are sending a desperate message through sobering statistics, with suicide rates among boys ages 10–14 rank among the highest in the nation.
Masculinity was designed for more—for adventure, brotherhood, and purpose. Trail Life is more than a boy’s program. It’s a strategic men’s ministry—a catalyst that calls men to step up, link arms, and raise up the next generation of bold, godly leaders.

He may not say it out loud, but every boy is asking: “What’s my mission? Who’s in charge? Who’s with me?”
The Trail Life Patrol Method is designed to answer those questions, clearly and powerfully. In a structured, Christ-centered environment, boys are guided by trained, background-checked adult leaders who are committed to child safety and youth protection.
With clear roles, high expectations, and real responsibility, boys rise to the occasion. They tackle challenges, lead their peers, and grow in confidence, character, and leadership. Along the way, they participate in intentional rites of passage that mark their progress and celebrate their journey to godly manhood.
