We believe that all we have comes from God and we give it out of His hand (1 Chronicles 29:14b, Dutch paraphrase) and that we have a responsibility to be faithful stewards, maintaining integrity and openness in our financial practices. Therefore, we are committed to fulfilling sound, Biblical standards, doing so with the following overriding principles in mind. For a more detailed statement, click here.

  • We subscribe to a written statement of faith clearly affirming our commitment to Christian doctrine.
  • We are governed by a responsible and independent Board of Directors.
  • Our Board appoints a Finance Committee to review the budget and the scheduled audit and report its findings to the Board.
  • Our financial statements are prepared in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles. Copies of our current financial statements are available upon request.
  • Contributions to the ministry are tax-deductible to the full extent allowed by law.
  • We will not operate this ministry with indebtedness that dishonors the cause of Christ and hinders the work of the Gospel.
  • Because we budget based on anticipated member and Troop fees, merchandise and award sales, and royalties from licensed product sales, we are not dependent on or controlled by corporate contributions and interests. We accept contributions from individuals or organizations who do not place conditions upon our use of donations that would be counter to our Statement of Faith and Values.
  • At times, we present needs to our members and God’s people, then trust the Holy Spirit to touch the hearts of those whom He wants to participate in meeting those needs. Because we believe that it is God’s place to prompt a response to our fundraising appeals, we shun high-pressure or manipulative fund-raising tactics.
  • Out of respect for individuals’ privacy, we do not sell or rent our donor information.
